Squirrel Calls

I have used them many times. They locate a squirrel. The one I used was a chatter type call. I never tried to call a squirrel to me, but used it to tell me where it was located.

I have a squirrel call, let me try to find it for you. I use it for red squirrels but I don't think they are what it's intended for. But it normally makes them sound off so I know where they are and can walk to them.

Ask eyeshot25. Derek uses one on his cell and it works. I have watched him bring the little rascal up for a peek. My hearing is poor and I could not figure out what the hell he was doing. Communicating with the aliens or some such. He keeps it very quiet and is patient. He also kills poop before you have time to get your gun up!!! He has some old west gunslinger outlaw in him.

My call is like the one Bob is showing. you can bump it a few times or shake it, to get different sounds on your call. After you play with it a few times you'll get the gest of it. Squirrels are territorial and you get them madder than a wet hen, with one of these calls. They think your movin' in on there feeding zone. Its about as much fun raising there blood pressure , as it is shootin' the little tree rats.

I’ve used one for a long time. Good for locating them and if the mood is right, call it in to you. I’ve worn the name off of mine years ago, it’s the one with the rubber boot you can tap or shake.

This is the call my dad bought many years ago and he gave it to me when I was 14 and it is a pretty hard to use properly but when you do figure it out I don't think you can find a better call. I have filled the freezer every year since I started using it. this isn't my video but it looks to be the same call a P.S. OLT Perfect Squirrel Call model #5

I always used an empty shotgun shell. Tap it on a tree or other hard surface and make different barks.

I have never used one in my life..always though it was a gimmick to get hunters money.
This thread made me curious so I had to research it. Not sure I will ever buy one but after watching a video on how to locate squirrels buy using two quarters. I will give it a try.

I use an app called squirrel call. I place a bluetooth speaker about 30 yards from where Im sitting and hit play. Its an actual squirrel chirping and it brings them up every time. The baby rabbit call works also it makes the rabbits stand up to look around for the baby rabbit.

I've turned a lot of squirrels on a tree to fatal effect by simply doing a loud kissing sound repeated 5 or 6 times at different length of sound. You can listen to them barking and imitate them this way. I have killed dozens of squirrels by using this technique.
