As a consumer buying that item it's probably a good idea to take a COUPLE OF SCREENSHOTS RIGHT NOW and claim false advertising against Wal-Mart if you don't get what's advertised.

Wal-Mart is BIG TIME.

Note that the Walmart one is SKU 62-0080.

It seems like the pricey ones are SKU 78-0080.

Seem like whole different beasts, altogether. And who knows what photo Walmart used in their ad...

I paid $699 for mine on a half price clearance sale around 10 years ago.

They are Japan Made and retailed for around $1400 - $1500.

The 78- version superseded it.

@Odoyle What’s a realistic viewing range for this model? I use a cheapo Simmons and it’s adequate within 50-60 yards. Although it boasts 20-60x magnification, I wouldn’t trust it out to 75-100 yards to provide a reasonable view of .35 holes in anything other than a splatter target. The view gets grainy in higher magnifications. Ever had a similar issue with yours?
