As most people know, Thomas Air is a one man operation. Over the last few years the demand for rifles has increased beyond my reasonable ability to produce. Lead times have increased to about 1 year. The parts manufacturing is not the bottleneck….it’s the smithing and final tuning that limits me to about 50 rifles max per year.
Over the last few months I have gotten in touch with a group of highly competent smiths that were interested in working with my rifles. These long time smiths will now be available to complete orders for the proven Thomas rifle platform. These smiths will not be under my employ…but operate independently to produce the finished rifle. I will provide them with the unassembled Thomas rifle ….and they will provide the smithing services to complete the rifle and work personally with the customer.
This model of operation is the standard in the competitive firearm world and makes a tremendous amount of sense in a lot of ways. It’s an efficient method of getting the best hands working on the best product.
At this time , the customer can still order a rifle from me…but must understand the long waiting period.
Here is a list of the guys I’m working with in the USA. Most of you are probably already familiar with these guys from the forums and competition circuits. There is a tremendous amount of collective knowledge here….and I’m very proud to have them representing Thomas Air, Inc and applying their craft to my rifles.
Will Piatt (Exitpupil on AGN) of Saddle Mountain Gunsmith in North Carolina at (336) 657-3306.
Scott Schneider (Motorhead on AGN) of Motörhead’s Airgun Tuning services in California at (916) 201-7237.
Dave Litt is in Arizona at (480) 577-9344.
Jason Neal (Nervoustrig on AGN) is in Mississippi at (601) 433-2760.
Thanks for your time,
Mike Niksch
