So, I drove to UAG today and rented an Avenger just to see how it shoots. I used the .22 cal fitted with an Athlon scope on the 35-yard range. I wanted to see how good they really are or aren't. So far, impressions are really good. Put 50 plus rounds through it and it hit solid, and consistently. Yes, it has a plastic stock, but you can get wood if you really want.
So, how many of you are shooting Avengers, and what are you doing with them? Tuning to higher shot counts? Tuning for a slug gun maybe? Just curious. What kind of accuracy are you getting at ranges like 75 or 100 yards? I know at anything up to 35 yards, it's good and accurate.
Trigger is good too. Nice and crisp. Light too.
What's the gun like after a couple thousand rounds? Do groups get sloppy or do they hold together nicely?
I think I'll buy one after today's session, but just wondering what's happening with the thousands of Avengers out there.
Many thanks for comments
