Hello was wondering if anyone with a .25 vet shoots slugs and which ones have the best results, currently just target shooting with 25g jsb but I think I’m going to crank up the power and shoot heavier pellets or preferably slugs to handle a very bad beaver issue on my other property. Beavers have basically flooded almost 10 acres around a creek on my land turning it into a marsh and it’s to close to a public area to use rifles. I have some nsa 36 grain slugs but I haven’t tried them but 4 or 5 times, felt like a very tight fit so I wasn’t sure if my gun was capable of shooting them so I stopped.

Just shot a couple beavers for the city, plugging up the canal, .249 29grn shoot really good, if your going to shoot them in the Mellon? Just shoot the 34 grn jsb, unless your over 50 yds.
Just keep in mind, slugs skip on water like a motha! Like guaranteed, and they will go 800 to 1000 yards on the skip, so think it through if you use them
