I notice that the Fullfield IV, 6-24X scope is side focus, with a minimum range of 10 yards. I'm interested in a 30mm scope, with simple fine duplex reticle and close focus, and this one seems to work. I haven't used a Burris scope in 20 years, but my experience with them is good. If anyone has tried this scope, I would appreciate your comments. I believe it's made in Phillipines, but I've seen conflicting comments.

Their current Fullfield and Signature HD lines are made in China but their glass are superb. Comparable to the Hawke H5 and H7 glass respectively.

If you want to save money buy from these guys.

Signature HD 25 yard minimum glass comparable to Japanese optics.

Oh sorry just re read your wanting the standard plex reticle. The standard duplex are more expensive since I listed specific on sale items with E3 ballistic reticles.

Thanks folks. I ordered the Fullfield IV 6-24X from Camera Land. With a $75 rebate, the price was around $375. I haven't owned a Burris scope in over 20 years, so I'm curious about this one.

I've also been looking for a way to show my appreciation for a good deed by Burris years ago. I needed some Signature ring inserts, and none of the dealers had them. They weren't listed as an available item on the Burris site, but I called out there one Saturday morning. Not sure they were open, the phone was answered "hello". So, I stated my mission, the guy said hold on. He came back and said, "hey, I've got a small bag of assorted sizes, give me your address", and I did. Three days later, they arrived, no charge. I've owed them some business since.

For reference Trijicon products are made in Japan or USA with parts from Japan and not from China or Philippines.

Yardage focus reference Ten Mile scopes.

4-24x50 10 yards

6-24x50 10 yards

Just noticed, Burris is owned by Beretta, I've been out of the loop a while. And, Burris acquired Steiner. So, we now have a US company, owned by Italians, making German optics! Truly a global economy. And I have a lot of respect for Beretta. It is still private, and is run by the 15th generation of the family, yes, the 15th, began in 1571! Sorry, I digress.

Don't forget the Burris and Pentax connection....I have been using both for decades,I was disappointed in their lower-end models, but when you get to their middle and upper end they are great.....I have 5 Burris pistol scopes...and a couple of Fullfield..the new one's side focus, the old ones are not...

If you know which Burris and Pentax models to get you will get a great scope at a very good price.=Fullfield and up.

DVOR has the Sightron S Tac 4-20x50 with standard plex reticle for $259 right now sale ends in 9 days of you familiar with Sightron scopes. 9 or 10 yard minimum focus decent better than average image quality.

Camera Land NY has it for $299 with Nikon rings.

If you need a 10 yard decent much better than average image quality 16% off euro sale right now at euro optics for the 1 inch tube Meopta Optika 5 4-20x50 $386.

Here's a winner at 50% off sale started just yesterday. If you familiar with the Engage this one is their flag ship of that line.

FFP looks like the reticle would be able to see easily at low magnification for hunting applications compared to the Match Pro reticle.

If it ever needs Life time Warranty they have to offer a comparable $850 replacement or better upgraded at no extra cost to you if later discontinued.

Many reports about how great Midway return policy if you not happy after you use it mount it play with it for upto short of 90 days if not satisfied they send you a pre paid return shipping label for the return.

They usually offer free shipping too. Just don't order pellets from them.

Looks alot better than their SFP reticle plus this one's illuminated too.

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/102450105?pid=188358

It has DNA lines with Athlon you already know and Zero Tech from Australia and the Chinese line that comes from Delta Optics Javelin from Poland.

The Match Pro would be another option but it's $499 ordered from Bushnell and the FFP reticle might be harder to see at lower magnification and it's $50 more.

With way atleast you got 10 yard focus and better than average glass.

Try the one from Midway first it's the top of the line in their Engage series with illumination only in the center aiming portion perfect for hunting.
