Well last time I posted i was bow hunting for deer and had no luck and wound up shooting 3 annoying red squirrels from my tree stand. This time I got my buck with my 12 gauge slug gun and went back afterwards with my Bantam Hi lite 22 cal with 18 grain JSB pellets to get the rest of the red devils. Once again they were nowhere to be found.....for an hour. Then they showed up and going crazy. I took the first with a nasty headshot at 22 yards. The thwack was so loud compared to the gun. DRT. lots of blood. The second came 10 minutes later right next to the first. Not bothered at all by his dead friend. Once again another headshot. This guy was hit hard and the snow was red. (Which baffles me) Then 20 minutes later another one is there at almost the same spot and bam, headshot. This gun is so accurate and easy to shoot. If it was as powerful as my 25 cal Condor SS i would never need another gun. lol. But it is perfect for this type of shooting/hunting. So now I wait another 30 minutes and get down to collect my squirrels, But there are only two there???? Three big blood stains in the snow but only two squirrels. I thought maybe I only grazed the second guy and he woke up and I shot him again. But no way. I watched him give up through the scope and the third guy only had one hole thru his noggin and not other damage. Weird. So I must have missed something take him while I was twisting and turning looking for more. Maybe an owl or hawke because there were no predator track I could see. Either way it was a nice weekend getting my buck, but to be honest i have more fun with my airgun chasing squirrels and other tiny critters. Thanks for listening.
