Searching for my next scope. Suggestions?

18x magnification max. I have no need for anything greater as the farthest I shoot is 50 yards.

6x magnification minimum. 6x is what I hunt squirrels with.

Second Focal Plane. I need to be able to see the reticle at lower magnification (6x) while hunting in the woods.

Mildot reticle or something not too busy. I'm not a precesion shooter

4" eye relief or close to it. Best for use with my Tactacam

30mm tube. This old man needs as much light as possible.

Parallax adjusts down to at least 25 yards.

Prefer 44mm objective, but nothing over 50mm.

$500 or less



I love my Arken SH4 4-14X44 FFP for videoing, but when it's set at 6x for hunting squirrels in the woods, it's impossible to see the tiny reticle. If I could find something equivalent to it but SFP, I would be very happy.

MANY MANY MANY people ( MENTALITY WISE ) HAVE TO pay $500 and up in order to accept any brand of scope as acceptable no matter if they may not be the clearest at max power Or if they are just plain overpriced...FYI... You get what you pay for MENTALITY so no $300 or $200 scope would be acceptable to them based on price no matter how great they really are...FACT!

I wouldnt recommend any scope that's not super clear at max power. It just ain't right...

cea1960, I am sure you already read through all the post in the https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/first-impressions-on-the-barra-ft-5-25x50-scope/ postings, everyone is quite happy with them, this scope you ordered checks all the boxes you are looking for except it is 50mm objective and you prefer the 44mm. I got rid of the factory flip up caps because they stand straight up and bought Vortex defender caps and the scope is longer than most this is my Zbroia Kozak Compact
