Scope location on a hw97 kt

hi folks
Got my hw97 with a thumb hole Monday from p.a
P.A. Mounted a hawke sport op its airmax 4x12x50.
She is beautiful, yet to shoot it more than twice in my yard because of where I live.
It seems to me that the scope covers halfway on the breech.
I have yet to put a bunch of pellets thru it ,and realize I should get smoother in loading my baby.
But I look in you tubes videos on the hw97and see some scopes end at the beginning of the breech.
I can walk and chew gum at the same time but wonder if they put the scope up to far, making it harder to load
Any feed back would be appreciated
thank you
joe

Well when I mount a scope on one of my rifles, I close my eyes (after I mounted the scope and left the rings loose enough to move the scope)and bring my rifle to my shoulder and check to see if my eye relief is correct for me. The scope you have has a 3.5 in eye relief and part of where you place your scope will be up too how you hold the rifle.
I set my scopes well back since that's the way they fit for me.
