Scope Focusing Problems

3x9x52mm scope is as clear as it can get at 20 yards with the front objective lens set at 15 yards. I can adjust the front objective lens to 100 yards with 3x magnification and it's still clear as a bell. If I increase the magnification over 5, the image gets very blurry set at 15 yards or 100 yards, and the scope is useless at that point...any thoughts?

Tune the occular ring to your needs. At lower magnification you won't see how out of focus you are. High mag multiplies every bit of distortion.
