Scope a Bust

10 yards is very close for the scope and pellet to co-index. Try again at 20 yards. The issues may be that the scope sits soooo high oveR the bore that the pellet has not risen to the line of sight in just 10 yardst. The pellet travels in an arc and you have will have a close zero as the pellet climbs to line of sight and a far zero as the pellet re-crosses the line of sight.

How big is the scope front lense (objective)

What size are the rings?

Is there a sizable gap between the bottom of the objective and the barrel?.

Sounds like the scope line of sight is above the line of trajectory. It's common to need to hold over at close range. There will be a point at further distance where the line of sight and the line of trajectory will intersect, that's your first zero. Further out, the trajectory will likely be above the line of sight and you'll need to hold under to hit the target. There will be a point where they intersect again, that's your second zero. After that you'll need to hold over to hit the target. Do a search for trajectory and line of sight and you should find a diagram that helps explain what's going on.
hope that made sense,
