Question for all the Beeman P17 buffs

Ordered one on Saturday and got it in today. Its still in the packaging. I bought one without the red dot scope. I had a couple questions. I have familarized myself with the operation of this Air Pistol and Im looking forward to testing it out once we get some decent weather, here in Louisiana.
Couple questions, looking for your perspective.

What can I look for in accuracy in this model and also what would be the longest distance that youde consider this gun to be accuarate at?

Thank You in advance for your toughts.

As stated in this thread,

its a very accurate pistol for this price point. I would think you could easily get two-handed, 1inch groups at 10m's. I'm sure it'll group well past that, More so with an optic..., but youre asking a lot of it past 15-20m's.

At 20+ m's it becomes a "tin can gun".

just make sure your barrel doesnt resemble mine, and if it does, return it and cross your fingers for a better one.

Shot, indoors, off sandbags, with a 2x scope just for accuracy testing. This P17 (#1) shot well. Another P17 (#2) I tested, averaged around 1/8" larger groups overall. #2 shot best with Air Venturi 8.2 gr. dome and RWS R10 WC 7.0 gr. Another P17 (#3) regardless of pellet used, shoots around 1/2" groups for 5 shots. Pellets are very easy to seat in the chamber of #3. Luck of the draw I guess on accuracy and velocity.

A small example of velocity for #1:

RWS Basic 7 gr. (actual weight is 7.3 to 7.5 gr.) - 424.3 fps
RWS R10 7 gr. - 432.1 fps
Crosman 7.9 gr. H.P. - 406.0 fps
H&N Match Green 5.2 gr. - 483.3 fps

#2 shoots about 10 fps lower and #3 shoots around 30 fps lower velocities out of the box.

These days the further distance I now have is 20 yards. Also a 2x - 7x scope was used at 20 yards set on 7x for testing.

Pellets were sorted and grouped by visual inspection, weight, head diameter and rolling radius.
