Pellets (Have you experienced this)

Hello all

I thought I had lost my interest in JSB pellets... I experienced bad groupings with them this year with with many guns...
but I decided to get the tins out and give the pellets another try...

Oh my --- My BSA R10 loved them... You will think I am not telling truth... but I had 4 pellets and one hole at 30 yards and I do mean one hole not a clover leaf pattern.
Ok, Ok stop laughing...... for me this is darn good... I know I am not as good as most of you are....

But these same pellets, not long ago would not and could not group.... So I went with Crossman Dome as pellet of choice..

I am baffled.... but they shoot so well I ordered 4 more tins last night..... 

Anybody understand this.... I don't

Well that is super duper as long as 3 pellets didn't miss the target.
JSB's for the most part are hard to beat, plus good shooting on your part.

you have NO idea how far a pellet will move in next to nothing wind you can not feel
so a single hole says your gun likes those pellets and you are doing your part very well and there was NO wind
unless it was indoors ?
the only real test of your gun and pellets is to shoot indoors

This is going to sound strange but a question, were the pellets oxidized?

i have two tins of the same brand,type and everything 
one tin for some reason the pellets look oxidized the other shining and new... But as freaky as it may sound the dingy ones shoot a better group than the others,

I would have though the reverse would be true but I don't know

I see a new sales opportunity selling Pellet Dust to dupes promising improved accuracy. There's pellet oil, why not pellet dust?

I found a bad batch of JSBs . A new gun had been giving mediocre accuracy, thinking it was the scope, I swapped it out. Still no joy. I then opened a new tin of JSBs I got from PA and BINGO ! I switched scopes back and am still loving life.

Oh, in JSBs defense, I have shot many, many tins of pellets from them and have had good results. As many pellets as JSB makes, a tin here and there that isn't quite up to standard is going to happen here and there.

I disagree. A good quality control system should prevent this.

Though people are reporting problems and some of which could be more pot stirring than facts, JSB is still the highest quality pellets available. If you have issue with their quality, then you haven't bought enough tins of crosman/benji's, or any of the rest for that matter. Lucky for me, all my current guns prefer JSB and boxed crosman's.

Well this is new one.
A bad batch of JSB pellets that when let sit for a time like wine becomes good.
Me thinks it was never the pellet at all.

Just used the JSB 25 grain Pellets to shoot a 3.5 inch group at 150 yard last weekend. I ain't complaining.
I have used JSB pellets by the thousands. Besides a flyer here or there haven't had any bad experiences so far.
