Pedigree of SWFA scopes

I have seen a lot of posts concerning the SWFA scopes and the mil-quad reticle. If you have not seen it yet, this video traces how SWFA super sniper scopes came to be. The 10x42 side parallax was a DOD contract-awarded design originally for use with Army snipers. This guy in the video makes the point that it is an $800 scope that you can now get for $399. I think it is only about 19oz too.

Anyway, draw your own conclusions, but the video is very comprehensive and interesting.

Great video! Thanks for posting. I have their 3x9 with mil quad reticle on a pb. Awesome scope! It doesn't have a paralax adjustment and will not focus below around 50-60 yards so not good for air guns. But the new 3-15 just might work good.

I have the swfa ss. straight 10x it goes for $299. The parallax will focus down to 10 meters. It has very good glass compared to my sidewinder 30, and is rated to handle 50 bmg recoil, it should do well on any air rifle,even magnum springers.
