OOPS !

I didn't think I would make this post but maybe it will prevent some one else from being hurt. I have an injured finger (before this) and it doesn't close with the others and sticks up some. I was trying to get a steady rest and had my fingers wrapped around the end of the air cylinder on my Cricket. well, not all the fingers .... Damn that hurts!

Although I'm off grid in Baja I was fortunate that there were two doctors here to come look. I am fortunate that the pellet passed thru without hitting the bone and after 6 days the finger is healing well. Still very sensitive but time should heal it up nicely. Thanks for your concern.

Reminds me of the time I reshaped my fingertip with a router-NOT recommended! Watch out for infection, I had troubles with mine. You might want to get some Cephalex or other antibiotic as insurance. Hope it heals well!

John57, The first time I damaged that finger I was under my boat with a 7" disk on a 4" grinder and almost cut in off. That's why it doesn't work well and was sticking up when I tried to shoot it off this time :>) I've been on Keflex since it happened and so far no infection but still very sensitive.
Dan25, You're so right. Isn't that about the same round I shot in the army> M-14?

I'm happy to report that I'm healed with only some nerve damage. The nerves still may come back to close to normal. Now just a slight pain to touch. Didn't loose the nail.

I can relate. A few years ago I had a brainfart and cut my thumb on a table saw. Had to have the tendon reattached. I have full range of motion now, but the sensation only came back about 75%. Good luck.
