Night vision scopes/lights?

Hey AirHunters,Would like to know what you’re using for nighttime hunting.Do you use night vision scopes, green lights?Need to take care of some raccoons here, possible coyote, and it appears night vision doesn’t come cheap.So, what do you use, and do you find it effective?Thanks in advance,Terry

Just recently bought an ATN X-Sight II HD 3-14x for $395 (best price I could find, 13% off w/coupon RSCP13 valid till 3/25) and a Streamlight Super TAC IR Long Range light.

In the light dept give a look at the Wicked Lights, they offer many different kits. There are 4 bulb colors white, red, green, and IR. Rechargable batteries, 1 or 2 battery use, variable beam. I don't think you could break it without a sledge hammer. Photon NV scopes are nice, since they use 30 mm rings, and are mounted closer to the barrel.

Very interesting idea NoLand. When shooting the racoon, it looks like you're not using an illuminated reticle. Is that correct? (Because my scopes dont have one)
Your latest scanning monocular and light let's you scan your area well, without breaking out the green light?
Are you happy with the clarity of the monocular? 
This looks like JUST what I need!

Hey guys
Not telling anyone how to suck eggs. But, the Brits do a lot of Night vision shooting, rats,foxes,rabbits. Their gear and ideas are spot on.

I use a nice little add on , Ward see add on NV web site.
plus their black sun torch( flashlight)
no rezeroing needed , takes on and off within seconds. Range say for rabbits easy 100 yards , detect and shoot, lightweight.
Oh and connector for mini DVR , record /playback etc. Cost about £1000 all in.
Second hand ones on site too?
Loads of tips/videos , worth a look

I ended up going with a similar setup to NoLandBeyond's:
I ordered a Wicked hunting light in green and a Luna Optics night vision monocular.
I'll post, when I get to give them a try.
