I'm a new shooter my air rifle was very accurate for the first 3 to 400 shots now there kinda random

Clean the barrel (use a pull-through if you can)-if it's a springer, check that the stock screws are snug. Are you using the same brand/type of pellets?

Yes I'm still using the same brand of pellets have cleaned the barrel. But I used the same rod I would use for cleaning my 22 rim fire rifle

hmm well is it the same caliber of a 22.... also you'll have to shoot it a bit after the clean if you used a brush especially so the riffling gets a little lead to it for the groups to tighten up
on top of that is this a pcp or a springer/gas ram as bother have a few twerks to help make them shoot better

Air rifle barrel cleaning: pull cotton patches through the barrel, first one sprayed with solvent such as Ballistol, WD-40 etc
If you used a copper brush or similar then you just destroyed the rifling and your gun will never be the same again, cotton patches ONLY in air rifle barrels

I disagree with tony my murader .25 cal was awful at first until I used a wire brush with a good scrub and now it shoots great also I'm pretty sure its not a good idea to put wd-40 in your barrel as it can cause what's know as dieseling and last I check that's not the best route to go
but I will say this most of use deter form using a wire/copper brush to avoid damaging the barrel if I really have to I now have tornado brushes for my guns and they work

so if you can stick with running a wet solvent patch threw then a bunch of dry and of course you'll need to put a few good rounds threw the gun before the groups will tighten up

ok I was just thinking about if its a pcp if wd-40 gets down into the transfer port and valve system that would cause damage but if its a myth my mistake

Thanks everyone and I also agree I don't think the wire brush is the problem the consistency was gone before I used it that is the reason I gave it a shot in the first place

Often it is not the rifle, but rather a change in shooting technique that is the problem - as most of today's modern air rifles shoot better than the owner can. There are some great reads about shot patterns with an accompanying diagnosis of what the cause of the wayward shots may be; that you might consider reading. As for bronze brushes, bronze is far softer than steel which is what your barrel is made of.

If it's a PCP check your O-rings in the breech, pellet probe etc. If there is a nick that you cannot even see you may lose air. After I changed my pellet probe o-ring on my Airwolf my groups tightened up again.
