New Guy, north Texas wanting a break barrel

@Jason30, my advice to you is to save up and buy a PCP.

I started this obsession with a .20 Beeman R9 for backyard shooting that shot sub 1/2” under 50 yds, BUT, quickly tired of it. If you shoot a lot, and you will with an accurate rifle, you’ll soon tire of single feed break barrel actions. I eventually injured my elbow (similar to tennis elbow) from the cocking stress.

I went with with a Daystate Regal as my first PCP and have never regretted the switch. MUCH easier to shoot longer sessions with stunning accuracy and FAR more enjoyable experience. The Regal can be had used for under $900 and you can pick up a used tank for a few hundred more. Yes, the initial investment is significant, but you’ll pass the Regal on to your kids - it’s that good.

I’ve since added an AirWolf for even longer uninterrupted shooting sessions.

I’m in N Tx as well (DFW) and would be happy to let you spend some time with each.
