Hi everybody, I have had something on my mind for a while already. I want to see if we can get a big airgun manufacturer to make something. Imagine it if they would make an airgun that resembles a pump-action shotgun. You can take off the buttstock and the front several inches of the barrel, which also acts as a silencer. It has a 20 round magazine, and it loads a pellet into the chamber in the same action when you cock it. Just like the shotgun, all you need to do is simply pull back on the foregrip, push back, and fire...

Something that does not run out of shooting power until the shooter does, which hopefully would not be soon.

I think we could come up with something more powerful if we really wanted to. It could shoot either bigger bb's or bigger pellets too.

I was trying to come up with a design that does not use high pressure air though. Something that you could take along as a side-airgun on a hunting trip. The big magazine would make it great for just shooting around with friends, and the quick reload time makes it great for almost anything.

Cool. The airgun I would like to have is the one that I'm trying to create demand for here. Maybe if enough people think it's a great idea, a gun manufacturer is gonna make it and get rich.

I just looked at the sites. Yes, it does look interesting. But it would not be of much use as an ultimate survival weapon. I wanna help build something that shoots as long as you have ammo.

Probably the closest to a survival gun with good power would maybe be the FX Indy or the custom made Millenium Pumper?

It is a multi pump/PCP hybrid that can be pumped like a crosman 760 or filled like a pcp. Has a simple stick magazine and is bolt action. It makes great power and I believe available in all calibers up to .30. Check out Carson Rat Sniper or GTA forum

The gun you mentioned is multi-pump, but my design uses a backward-forward single-pump action. I like Carson's Rat Sniper pellets, though.

Sorry, but that only leaves you with a PCP that you don't want or a low powered springer as it would require very lower power for a springer to be cocked that way. Good idea and intentions though.

I think designers could come up with a powerplant that would suit my needs. We just need to provide incentive by showing there are lots of people who would be interested. For example, somebody already invented a gun that has an electromagnetic powerplant. There are videos on YouTube. It isn't what I need, but it's getting closer.

So you want something that functions like a break-barrel, but uses a single pump action like a pistol-grip shotgun, isn't a PCP, and doesn't use compressed air? I'm having a hard time imagining what you're trying to describe.
