Finally shot the rifle from the bench @ 40 yards sorting pellets. The best performer is still the 14 gr, 5.5 head FTT.
There is a problem though and I need some advice. The barrel droop on this thing is terrible. I am almost maxed out on adjustment using the 14 grain stuff. (Nikon 3-9 EFR) When I tried the JSB 18 grain I didn't have enough adjustment left in the scope to zero it. I have the RWS one piece with droop comp but it's not enough. The 18gr drops off the target. I've been looking at adjustables--the Sportsmatch specifically and was wondering if any use them and if they offer more compensation? Also see that Hawk makes an insert--don't recall the MOA provided but the thought of using aluminum foil or plastic inserts horrifies me. Somebody has gotta make something right?
