Need ideas for finding feedlots

Marksman, for the past month I've been on Google maps searching (within a 50mile radius) around my home for feed mills, ranches, stables, Ag farms, golf courses, open lots/field. Must have called over 20-30+ places. Finally got a possible permission at a feed mill 20min from my house, also connected with an old coworker who has some property that would allow me to hunt on. If non of those places worked out, I was about to go door knocking (which I still might do).
Keep searching you'll only need to find one or two, then build your network of permissions from there. Someone also told me to ask the farmer or property owner if they have pest/rat problems that'll get your foot in the door (those folks love free work) from there you can gradually move on to pigeon, rabbits, doves.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

I just googled feedlots in texas and a few websites came up liating them. I was going by area codes to scan through them.....but nothing is even remotely close to me. If I can get permission, it would be an overnight trip for me to hit something worthwhile out there. I would stay overnight in a hotel for the chance to shoot somewhere that had thousands of pigeons. Up around Dalhart would be prime feedlot hunting for sure. Would be insanely fun to get a hunt on up that way.

Living in a smaller urban area (Roswell, NM) has it advantages, as we have a lot of exurban farming. I just ask my veterinarian about it, and he invited me to his place. That lead to yet another location or two, and just recently, to a 500 acre ranch less than 10 miles from my home. The latter is covered with just about every non-game animal you can think of. I'm dreading the cold weather coming, but I'll still be out there in my heated blind.
