MY NEW EDGUN R5M!

Just picked this bad boy up last week, not a "new" gun , but, i don't care. was a little "barky" when i got it so i added a donny ronin, now, nice and quiet! Has plenty of pop, going to give it a workout for a month or so , hopefully it "fits" me. looking forward to it.

It’s The Punisher. I put one on all my guns.

I bet it’s mouse fart quiet with that DonnyFL Ronin! It should be shooting the JSB Kings at about 900 FPS. It doesn’t like the AA pellets.

This is my latest, .25 Taipan Veteran Shorty, Bushnell Engage 4-16x44 scope.

Centercut , have you done any accuracy test yet with your veteran .25 ? if so What did you shoot ,and at what FPS. And how where the groups ?

centercut- i shot 40 pellets into a cardboard box filled with rubber mulch. had 2 women one on either side of property behind pvc fence 6' tall. they were about 30-40 feet away and heard nothing, i was very windy day, but STILL! i love it

@lowkey, don’t want to steal Rangur1’s thread. I’ll do a separate post on the Shorty after I’ve shot it for a couple more weeks. I will tell you that it’s just as accurate as the EDGun R5M and the Vulcan Tactic. I’ve had both so I know first hand. My Shorty shoots the JSB Kings at 860 FPS.

Centercut, how do you like your camera set up? I use the same configuration. I am getting better with it each time I shoot. Do you like it better than thru the scope filming?

Lowkey, you will be happy to know i also have a veteran and it's lights out accurate, same as the edgun i just got and equal to my wildcat mk2.

I read your reply right? You have an MK2, an R5M, and a veteran? Would love to hear your thoughts on which you'd prefer. My criteria is accuracy then overall quality, then being able to maximize FPE while not impacting accuracy.

@rangur1, you have all three, and they are all accurate. But the Eddy is EASILY the best and baddest ass looking of the three, no contest...

@Sdellinger, I like doing it this way, since I can also use the camera to film other guy's shots, and the area where we are shooting. I found it takes some time and adjusting to get the elevation correct on the camera. Once its set it stays there, but I do wish the screw attached to the middle of the camera and not the front. Do you use a ball head on yours? It would seem to be too high and unsteady, but would give aiming flexibility... My camera was a refurb from Amazon, only about $115, and its like new. VERY lightweight, optical zoom to 27x, battery lasts a long time, picture quality is very good (HD). Once I get the hang of the editing, I'll put a few videos out. I have to be careful of my language and breathing when I'm shooting! Good part is when its not windy you can hear the SCHWACK of the pellet hitting the ground squirrel.

Nice stock on your R5M. Did you apply a coating of wax or oil on the stock? Looks glossy.

EDIT: I just took a second look at the stock. It's the brown laminate version right?

actually, a friend of centercut did the stock work, really nice. think its a varnish or some other type of bad ass protectant. it is brown laminate version.

Bad A$$ looking gun. The punisher adds a certain something.. Love it. And the wood is beautiful.
