I was shooting my Impact today and it just stopped firing. I pulled the trigger and heard a click, but the gun did not fire. I could recock the gun and doing it again and just a click. The gun has good air pressure, so does the reg. Any ideas where I need to look 1st for a problem like this?

Did it happen all at once or was there a gradual change over the course of several shots?
If all at once, my guess is the valve stem is broken.

It was all at once. One shot was fine, next trigger pull and just a click. I didn't notice anything different.

I didn't double load a pellet. I pulled the barrel to remove the single pellet, I can check for a piece of pellet.

maybe a broken poppet or slipped poppet, I had a Poppet slip on the shaft on my HW100 before, or something obstructing the Hammer? open it up and find out, now's the time to learn how to fix your gun, they're not that complicated.

I just installed the power plenum on this one. I know them inside and out pretty well. I was just getting some ideas on where to look before I tore into it again.

Yeah first thing would be double loaded sounds like it isnt, TP blocked, hammer stop is unattached, valve rod broken.
You put loctite on the hammer stop?

When that happened to me I found that the hammer seat had come loose from the valve rod. It was an easy fix. I just took the bottle off, unscrewed the valve adjuster, pulled out the valve seat and pulled and clamped the valve rod. Then I cleaned the threads and applied locktight and reassembled. No further problems.

Yup i used locktite, but it was on the loose side when I put it on and measured it. Maybe the locktite didn't hold it. I will tear it apart later and check it out. I will post updates what I find.

If I remember right I chased the threads on the hammer seat with a tap also. If it will not tighten up look to see what has the most wear the hammer seat or the valve rod and replace it or both parts. I saw that Ernest put a small piece of an o-ring down the hammerseat before he put it on the rod to help things stay tight. I did the same. Good luck.

Check to see that the C3 bumper is not broken and not binding up the hammer weight somewhere. It happened to.me and it did the same thing to where it wouldn't fire.

Loctite and teflon tape probably won't work correctly together. The tape won't allow the loctite to cure onto it to hold the two parts secure, but it will take up space.

I know I can't put teflon and locktite on together. Just a small piece of teflon to tighten it up and locktite where the teflon isn't

Hammer stop backed out. I dropped a piece of oring in it and it tightened up. Now it is firing just fine.

Didn’t this recently happen to Stoti? His C1 sheared completely off of the rod, with a piece of the rod’s threaded portion stuck inside the C1.
