HW50S carving on stock

Well so much for answering emails. I emailed Weihrauch, the Australian importer of Weihrauch and the Australian Shooters Association. Asked twice on the Weihrauch owners forum, got one response there but the dude that answered said that this question had been asked many times.

Soooooo it’s my rifle and I’m sticking with the ‘ DR ‘. Unless someone can give me a definitive answer I’m taking my marbles and going home

HeyU I have to eat some humble pie. I just got a response from Weihrauch. It was a very polite, here is the bottom half of their response.Thankyou Mr Weihrauch for your response, much appreciated.

These are the letters form the stock manufacturer. But we do not publish informations form our suppliers at all.”

I can't agree more. Brag when it suits you but withhold the facts when it doesn't. I think my opinion of Weihrauch just faded a bit.

Now I'm thinking about what those letters mean......hmmmm. maybe the new maker is Chinese. Maybe it really says contains MSG! Lol Maybe it is DR.....Don't Request info. Or NLM.......No Longer Minelli. Lmao! Or WTF!!!! Won't Tell Fifty-lovers. Man I could go on, buy I won't .

In my opinion the new stocks are superior to the earlier ones branded with an M.

The checkering is appears to be more pronounced which for me provides better grip for the trigger hand in hot weather. A great improvement.

My HW 50 also has a M stamped in the checkering.

Mine has the Minelli stamp but has a different checkering design than what I've been calling the standard design...

And if I may ask, what is the purpose of that cutout on the bottom of the butt stock. I was figuring maybe for resting on a rest or bag.

I think I really like the new checking design, way to go Weihrauch/Mineli! 

Slot on the bottom for the stock??? Do you mean at the forend of the stock?? If that is what you are wondering about it it used for creating clearance for the the cocking link to the piston and the breech block for when the barrel is in cocking process.

No, the bottom of the rear stock. There is a kind of scalloped cutout starting at the back of the pistol grip to about 2 inches of the recoil pad.
