After seeing your pictures I decided to stick my AS34 back on my Leshiy and had trouble getting the built in mount to not cant to one size on the picatinny rail. Do you have this same problem?

I've had it on my Leshiy before but it didn't even last a day due to blurriness when shooting at close range indoors. I now have a dedicated indoor plinker so I thought I'd try this scope again. It's possible I had the same problem before and just didn't notice.

As far as your stock, how convenient is this to clip on and off while out in the field? Can it be done quietly while setting up to hunt?

That little bullpup is ugly!! Str8shooter's 44 looks way nicer to me. Thats a sweet gun he's built up.

Love it, looks superb. Can’t think of anything that’s on the market that’s like it currently, Such a unique package. Just waiting on my scope and I’ll be able to see how the whole package comes together to shoot.

Thanks Corradog60, look forward to your build, I was shooting it at my Cow Bell the other day at 36 yards, it's so light that I can hold and shoot it with my right hand while working the cocking lever with my left and shoot rapid fire. 

Agree the BP looks rough as a badgers backside WH lost their way on that one. The hw110 karbine is a contender in the uk but shot count is a bit low in standard trim and I wouldn’t want to tamper with the very high quality/precision build of the German internals.

Yeah the BP looks kinda Frankenstienish, even so at one time I was considering purchasing one, but then they became scare, came back out with a ridiculously long barrel. Not even sure what the status is with them now? AOA shows them in stock, but I was told they no longer keep there site up to date. But having a HW100 Carbine and now the HW44 it probably makes less sense for me to buy one now.

Scouty, I do not have that problem with my AS34 not centering on the rail. I am not sure why yours would cant to one side? I also do not have any blurriness with mine? 

I originally wanted to have the stock disconnected from the pistol and have both concealed in a backpack, then once in the woods attach the stock. I think it may still be doable? But now it would require removing the scope and I do not want to risk losing my zero or dropping a nut and not finding it. I will probably transport my HW44 something like this now:

I'll try mounting it again. Might just mount it on a separate pic rail and see if it does the same thing.

I'm surprised you don't have blurriness. I mainly get it when shooting paper indoors within 20 yards. When I scan the backyard at close range it is not as obvious.

I'm hoping it can be at least be a useable scope for my Leshiy while I shop for something better. It sits at the right height and has a good amount of eye relief.

It also has the best eye box of any under $200 scope I've looked through. The zoom ring or whatever you call it is also really smooth.

I hope you get things sorted with your AS34. I have not noticed any blurriness but I have never shot indoors either. Agree with the eye box and zoom ring. I think it is a good fit for my application and only paid $125.00 on Amazon. I was watching a review on Andy's Airgun reviews, he gave it a good review so I made the purchase. I looked for his review to post, but could not find it.

I have both a 177 and 22 in the HW44. The guns are very accurate but the addition of a stock would make them more stable. The stock is a great idea but i wish it was not so bulky and could side fold. It would be great if you could adapt a stock like this:

Ok - So I got a wild hair and started prototyping my own system. Basically I am using the Sig MPX pistol as my example. IF you are unfamiliar the rear of the gun has a five Slot picatinny rail machined into the rear. This allows the user to customize his arm brace with between folders, collapsible etc. so I took this premise and started prototyping my HW44:

1. Purchased a three slot Picatinny from amazon: $10.00 (filed back of rail flush as it was an M-Lok)

2. removed pistol grip from hw44

3. center rail so it is below cocking handle

4. Drilled and tapped first hole:

Again this is my first go, not perfect but at least a start to spark ideas. need to make it level (use washers to start) need to tap a second hole for more rigidity. But basically gives you multiple options with a quick removal and compact size. I will add photos of Stock attached once I get it from my office.

So prototype is done. Need to figure out a way or built up the rear end on the back of the HW44 so the Rail sits flat /flush (No angle). Even with a couple of washers I cannot get it all the way flat. I am not sure if you could build a mold around the back and fill with epoxy and make a flat surface. Any ideas welcome. Regardless it was a first attempt. 

I attached a SIG MPX side folder stock to the gun and it fits well and folds nicely.

I agree that the rail needs to fit flush to the back of the pistol but are you sure it needs to be perfectly flat (perpendicular to the barrel)? Depending on the stock you choose or make, you may find that a slight angle works just fine -- or that you can correct the angle with the stock itself. Just my 2c, keep up the good work!

Nice job on the stock, as far as building up the back of the pistol perhaps someone can 3-D print you a tight fitting piece that could be attached. Your project convinced me to try to make a stock as well. I’ll post pictures as soon as I get it done. I’m going to try for a skeleton wire stock that comes off the bottom of the pistol grip

Finally finished it today. I had a few issues as the riser mount was 0.71, I think yours was 0.75. This meant no clearance for sling mount and I had to file down the top of the stock to get a perfect level for the scope. The riser block also has two pretty ugly nuts securing it which can’t be reversed to the other side. It doesn’t foul the cocking lever but it’s ugly...... I added a neoprene cover to the moderator and a narrow view gauge cover. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so I copied most of your set up. Honestly I couldn’t have made it any better myself it’s absolutely superb, shoulders brilliantly 6.6llbs with bipod and the scope works like a dream. My only ask would be for more power!! Somewhere over 12ft llb with an uprated cylinder to up the shot count and this would be perfection for me. Thanks again for all the shares and links, much appreciated.

I was not trying to hijack this thread. But onto phase 2 to build up the rear end to create a flat surface. Bought some JB Weld putty for plastic. I have attached to the lower, shaped it and I will let it harden. Once cured, I file and sand it to create a flush surface and reattach the rear rail so it is flush or level. We will see how this goes.

It’s all good, I’m fascinated to see what other solutions there might be converting the pistol to some form of carbine. A folding stock would be a practical evolution to the one I have fitted.

Another Idea would be to adapt a Beretta 93R Stock to the pistol grip. There use to be a few aftermarket stocks in the Airsoft world not sure anymore. I Have not look at this adaptation but the wired drawing from Dave Larson above jogged my memory. It but may be possible. 

There are also some Glock stocks out there is well.

Ok, Well I sanded down the JB weld. Probably a little to much. Really need a belt sander. Hand sander and rasp probably not the best tools for the job. Remounted rail. Still have a little gap below and above rail but more flat or level. Not bad for an amateur. Mount is strong and does not twist or move when I fold or unfold the stock.

I think if Weihrauch would just mold a rail into the rear of the gun it would be easier and give the user a ton of options. They already have a top rail and lower rail molded with a picatinny rail how hard would it be to add it to the rear handle assembly.

That looks great Dckoch! I was going to suggest some kind of epoxy, but was not sure of a good one to use. The folding stock you adapted is going to be handy. Thanks for sharing, and nice outside the box solution!
