I already packed the gun up for return in wood box. But did take some pictures on my phone so will upload them and post here this afternoon."wlbryce"Hi Parrots
Can you post some photos of what you describe so we can see the difference of the Pre-production guns to the production gun that you received?
I have some good photos of the stock and the magazine so we can see the difference. I think that people wanting this gun should see the difference so they can make the right choice. I for one am saddened if Huben cheapened the gun from the Demo gun.
"Parrots"I received my Huben yesterday and having not even shot it yet i considering returning it just based on the overall quality of the gun.
For $2000 that is cost me to buy here in Europe i did not expect a gun with a coated plastic stock but was expecting something at least close the the synthetic stocks of the Cricket or Wildcat but instead this is a a heavy plastic stock that has been coated to look like the finish of the above.
The magazine itself does not seem to be coated and has the look of an antique rusted metal.
The shroud does not work very well at all and having 10 other pups i can say that every single one of those are quieter then this and neither have i ever been disappointed with any of my other gun purchases but there is always a first and the Huben is it just based on the overall quality.
The $1500 US price is more towards what this gun might be worth although i have seen better build in cheaper guns.
You say you didn't even shoot the gun, then you say the shroud doesn't work very well?
Ouch. No offense intended, but posting pics of 4moa groups is not making me feel better about waiting this long for a K1."wlbryce"This is a 19 round rapid fire group at 50 yards off a standard soft bag 4X scope.
Dry firing the gun gives me a good indication on how a shroud works and so does replacing that shroud with a Huggett and seeing the extreme difference. The barrel thread is 1/2" UNF but you need to put an extender on it to clear the air cylinder."ksfastman"
Sure"kris"Parrots, can we see your pictures please
You really think so? Just to see this I unpacked again and fired few pellets through it and I can confirm the shroud is not very effective at all."wlbryce"Parrots, Dry firing the gun is not the same with the K1 as other airguns. I have found the gun is as quiet as my FX Monsoon. Real backyard friendly and quiet.
The way the valve works the air flow is totally different from a gun with a hammer and air valve.
