How to get youtube video thumbnail to show in thread

How do we get a youtube link to show the youtube thumbnail?
I can't seem to figure out why the thumbnail is not showing in a thread when I post a youtube url. Everything online says to just post the url but it seems like the forum keeps changing the url to a [.MEDIA=xxxxxxxx[/MEDIA] and just a black clickable box appears. I have tried to edit the post and add the url but the forum keeps changing it. Any ideas on how to get it to show the thumbnail?[/MEDIA]

When you have the video open on youtube you will see a share button to the right of the like button. Click that and you will see multiple options. There will be a https link with a button to copy it. Hit copy and then just paste that in your message.

Weird. Google Chrome on Win 10 shows black box without thumbnail.

Works for me in Chrome, Firefox, Ect. Could be either some adblocker you're running thinking its an ad or you need an update.
