Hawke airmax covering half of the breech on my new beautiful hw 97kt

HI folks,
i posted in the springer section and hope I am ok to post in the optic section
Got my new hw97 w/ thumb hole and I am in love with her
P.A mounted a hawke air max 4-12x50 on her and it covers half the breech.
I have yet to shoot her more twice ,and I know I will get better in loading but I see in YouTube that a lot of scopes end at the beginning of the breech .
Once again,haven't put time with her ,but wonder if the scope can be pulled back to allow more access to the breech.
One thing I liked about the hw97 was the size of the breech compared to the aa springer I looked at
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated

Try moving it back. You should adjust the scope position to fit you anyway. You may find it still works good for you back a bit. That can be an issue with underlevers. A smaller scope may be better. I have a 3-9 on mine and it just clears the loading port.
