Hatsan Gladius .25

I am looking to getting a Hatsan Gladius in the .25 caliber and would like to know what some of your opinions are of it as I am dealing with a limited amount of money , I would be using it for pest control and small game hunting and of course my most enjoyable target shooting . Thanks in advance for all the help .

While my Hatsan Gladius is in .22 caliber, I absolutely love the gun! They are Very adjustable, very accurate, and very fun! 
They're built like tanks too, so a bit on the heavy side, but in my case, I planned to use mine for a bench-rest gun..

 

If I had money to throw around, I would absolutely get another one - in .25 caliber. That's how much I like them. 

This winter, I've been hibernating and doing a lot of indoor shooting at my 10 meter range.. 
While the Gladius is super accurate out at long distances also, here's a vid of it smacking targets at short range:

PS: Mine is the 'Short' version. 
The 'Long' versions will have a bit more energy and are said to be a bit more efficient as far as using air.

I have a Gladius in .22 also though mine is a long version. Quite accurate and reliable so far. Some trigger work has improved feel greatly and it is now a very good trigger. Would not hesitate to buy another in any caliber needed.

I have one in 22 caliber it was my first PCP. I think it’s fine for target shooting but it’s too heavy for hunting.

I would think with a sling it would be similar to carrying a full size gunpowder rifle ?

Heavier than most. It would not be my first choice for a field carry gun due to the weight but I'm sure it could be done and a sling would help a lot.

My first PCP was a 25 Gladius. It was a great gun, but as stated above, a little heavy. I shot hundreds of ground squirrels with it and replaced one breech o ring. I sold it to relative who uses it on prairie dogs. It’s still going strong with no problems.

Can't comment on the .25 as I shoot nothing over .22 and few of those. But I have a .22 Gladius Long that has been a very good rifle. They do need some cleanup and deburring in places. The trigger mechanism can be reworked a bit to improve function and feel greatly. Powerful, accurate, and as noted quite heavy.
