He said the neighbors are signing up because they have been seeing rats. Big ones! Of course I said no. I threw a corn on the cob in the back yard with a safe back stop. Just out of chance I looked out my back window to peak at my detached garage and there he is at 6pm in broad daylight. Hoping across my lawn along my dying flower bed. I yelled for my wife to look and realized, maybe that wasn't a good idea. lol. She was not as happy as I was to see the rat. I ran and got my TX200 in .177 and loaded a 7.9 gr CPL. She said he heard you and ran thru a hole in the garage. So I opened the sliding door and got ready to wait and it didn't take long. 1 min later he hopped over to the corn and started eating. This was a 10 yard shot and I have been neglecting my springers since I got the compressor. So I decided on a body heart/lung shot because I didn't want him to get away because I screwed up the hold over. I pulled the trigger and he squealed and jumped a foot straight up. Then he struggled around behind the garage. I waited 10 minutes and followed the heavy blood trail 10 feet to where he lay dead. Told my neighbor and showed him the picture. Said he is getting an airgun.
