Good time to buy?????

Ok so i decided in buying my first PCP. I zeroed in on the Benjamin Maurader .22 caliber. Also im tempted to get the .25 for accuracy purposes. Im thinking i want to get more shots per fill though why im leading towards the .22. Is it a good time to buy or might the wait for the Gauntlet be better or maybe the Maurader drops in price due the the high demand of the Gauntlet??

I have the Marauder in .22. If you use factory settings, Crosman Premier Domes, 14.3 grain at 830 FPS, you get about 20 shots per fill. The Domes are OK, but, , , , ,

The JSB Jumbo Exact Heavy's are a lot more accurate. Unfortunately, to adjust the Marauder to 830 FPS for the Heavy's, you only get about 20 shots per fill.

You might look at an older FX model. AOA has the "FX T12 Whisper MKII Synthetic " in .22 and .25 for $790 including an FX Scope. It's a fairly inexpensive way into FX.

One tip though. Consider how you intend to charge this thing. If a hand pump, I think everyone agrees a Hill is better than a Benjamin. I have a pump and Air Venturi 90ci bottle. I'll take the bottle over a pump every time. if you have a scuba or paintball shop close by, consider a tank as part of your purchase price. Once you have your method of charging, you can always buy more guns.

Not trying to be rude but this info can be misleading to some new people...40 shots over 830fps with a stock Mrod just tuned is all. Can also be tuned much better this was just a quick tune.

Cabela's were selling Synrods for $350 for awhile but not sure if they still are.
