Anybody know of a good collapsible (or breakdown) cleaning rod for my RAW .357 that I can use in the field? It needs to be a rigid rod to clear obstructions like a double-loaded pellets. The rod part needs to be at least 30.5". Thanks
I'd go a step further and submit that a cleaning rod should never be used on an air gun. Cleaning rods were designed/developed for fire arms (powder burning) which use much harder metals for the barrel. The risk here is that the cleaning rod could damage the crown or possibly the rifling. Additional air guns does not accumulate gun powder residue and thus allow for much milder cleaning methods. My recommendation is a draw through cleaning kit (https://www.google.com/search?q=air+rifle+pull+through+cleaning+kit&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8), these kits work great, are very compact and make it impossible to damage the barrel.
You can always cut wooden dowels or delron rod to whatever length you need. They should be strong enough for clearing a stuck pellet err slug. But if it's a cleaning rod you want, Dewey has some that are nylon coated https://deweyrods.com/product/35-caliber-nylon-coated-rod-36-inches/, but not collapsible.
