FX Wildcat Max Fill Pressure

First post here... FX Wildcat manual says 220 bar max pressure (3190 psi). The side of the rifle says 230 max pressure (3335 psi).

Is everyone filling to 220 bar or 230 bar?

Has anyone found their FX gauge to be inaccurate?

I have been shooting from 220 bar to about 140 bar....

I fill to 230bar and shoot down to 150 bar yielding 45 excellent shots in 25 cal. Just got a scba fill station off of Ztirrif and the gauge reads dead nuts with the gun, hope this helps

Heavies loaded nicely into the Wildcat .25 mags. The Heavies were gen 1's not the MKII's.

Note: The pressure readings were taken from manometer of rifle and it registers +10 Bar from the manometer reading on CF tank. Also, no sorting on the pellets, loaded into the mags as they came out of the tin.

I always filled to 230 bar but no more. It would usually stabilize around 224-225 bar according to the gauge on my fill bottle. I tend to rely on the pressure displayed on my fill bottle gauge over the one on the rifle. The only exception being my Air Wolf which has a digital display and is scary accurate.

Thank you all for the info. Managed a few magazines this evening, paying extra attention to both gauges I found the following:

Gauge on fill bottle reads 3300 PSI (glycerine filled gauge)
Gauge on rifle reads just over 210 bar (about 3045 PSI)

I had been filling based on the gun gauge to 230 bar....hmmmm.....
I only have about 200 pellets through it so far.

My first string with the Wildcat:
220 bar fill (gun gauge)
900 avg, high was 912, low was 889 for 42 shots

I did have an issue with pellets hitting the FX moderators at one point...

Shot string from 25 cal Wildcat fresh out of box yeilded average velocity of 910 fps, extrextreme spread of 15 with 45 shots, reg fell off at shot 46 with jsb 25.4 straight out of tin.

I currently fill my FX Wildcat up to 250 bar and have not had any problems. Completely stock.

Tube gun is 230 bar fill. Bottle guns are 250 bar fill. I just go by the gun gauges. I feel they are going to be close enough to keep you safe.

Guys, this thread is from 2015. The OP should have it figured out by now. Or they have an absolutely mint condition, barely fired wildcat mk1. It happens, I guess. But regardless, I'm giving lukeaaen750 the "thread necromancer of the day" award. Congrats! Just don't take this too seriously. I see it's your first post and don't want to chase you off.
