"FukoChan"" I don't know about everyone else but I find it sad that the FX Wildcat in 22 cal is louder than the .25 cal. Im guessing its because the shorter length of the shroud. "
Hi all, if anyone can confirm the above.
Daystate air ranger .22, AA ultimate sporter .177, Steyr hunter 5 .22, Fx Bobcat .25, and of course the WC .22."mleki"Hi Gunner , "...more quiet than my other pcp’s..." To which PCP you are comparing ?
Thanks.
Ps. I sent message to Ted , and I'm waiting for the answer.

My new WC is a bit on the loud side for my backyard. just wanted to let other owners with a similar issue that AoA sells individual baffle extensions (1) at $25. I want to keep the gun short and light so I've added 1 baffle. hoping this solves it. if not well will order 1 more.
My new Bobcat MKII has a similar setup on the end of the shroud and I remember Ted saying in his video showing his new Wildcat, that the Wildcat uses the same type of extensions as the Bobcat.
In the pictures below you can see it's a two piece shroud extension that is completely hollow. Very surprising how much this little thing cuts down the noise compared to when it's remove from the gun and you pull the trigger. Very loud!!!
If the threaded end of the shroud on the Wildcat is the same as it is on the Bobcat, this Huggett moderator should screw right on and really quiets the gun down. At least it did on my Bobcat. I bought it at Precision Airguns and Supplies, cost $239.00 but it is beautifully made and takes all of 15 seconds to install. Total length of the Huggett is 6.5 inches so about 4 inches longer than the two piece hollow extension that comes with the Bobcat.
Hope this helps.
No naging, but now I feel rather confident - there must be more than one version of the .22 wc."skygear"Until someone posts an actual DB meter, we should all stop with the 'it is quiet' banter. Yes, it is quite than an battleship shooting. We all know this. Now a DB meter will be the the determining factor.
No sweat, I am the same, I love flashlights too. However, I don't have one that would burn through a paper bag, that's bright. I do alternate between two daily carry lights, a Surefire LX 2 at 200/15 lumens and a Surefire E2D Ultra at 500/5 lumens.
It comes with the territory, guns and lights, you have to see what your going to shoot!
Sorry didn't mean to get off topic...
