FX Royale 300 vs Streamline

I'm gonna call AoA for their thought also.

Is the Royale action better and different than the Streamline to justify the extra cost? The Royale 300 is a pound heavier and a bit longer, but that includes a quieter shroud, and includes a larger air tank. Why haven't we gone nuts over the 300 ? This would be my first FX since 2007 and they have changed a lot since then. I have a pair of petite PCPs already. This one will be a 22.

I think the reason people go nuts over the Streamline is because of the amount of features included for the price. You get the smooth twist, adjustable trigger, adjustable power wheel, etc all for $999 in synthetic compared to $1399 for the royale in synthetic. Is the Royale $400 better than the Streamline? I've never shot one so I can't say for sure.

Plus a regulator. Is the 300 regulated?

"Birdo"My brain went into information over-load. It turns out the FX Royale 400 is now and ambi stock where it use to be RH only. So now I have to process this. If I can swing a Royale 400, I should look at all of the other near $2K rifles available. Wolverine or Pulsar would be good, how about a RAW? Wait to see the FX Crown?

Head explodes.

The Royale 400 has had a ambi-stock for nearly three years now, at least that is when I purchased mine and it had a ambi-stock. In addition, the Royale 400 now includes a regulator and a carbon bottle; and best of all the price has seen a recent notable drop. Synthetic stock is now $1,499 and walnut stock $1,649.

This is good to know. The furthest I got on shopping the Royale was the standard synthetic states that it is Right Hand only, I never got around to looking at the Walnut because the price was quite a bit higher, at least it was. My gripe here would be that the advertising info does not make a claim either way about the walnut stock being ambidextrous. I would like more facts and less adjectives in the descriptions. Better photos would be good too. Hint Hint beloved distributor.

As far as waiting on the Crown, I'm not sure, it has to many fiddly things and I'm more of a grab the rifle and shoot kind of guy. I do like the power wheel, I have had FX stuff before and You buy for power, but plink and have fun on low and medium. No way in heck am I gonna swap barrels for twist rate and caliber changes, but it's an exciting option for those types of shooters.

I also think the carbon 480cc carbon fiber tank and regulator make this a big improvement over the early Royales.
