nice work! Here's an aftermarket product that is very similar, but I didn't buy it because it doesn't look comfortable to hold.

I got the gen2 and it feels pretty natural to hold. The bend fits nicely in the palm of your hand. I've been using a Magpul fore end, but I think holding it without the magpul part is still more comfortable. You could probably ask them if they have a gen1 as well, that one is smooth all along the bottom.
