FX Impact MKII setup help

Hello,

I was looking for some tuning advise for an FX Impact MKII in .30cal with a 700mm barrel shooting JSB 44.75 grain pellets. I’m using the gun for hunting small ga e out to 200+ yards, what would be an ideal velocity?
Also what ES and SD should I be looking to dial in on the chromo?
Could anyone give me some base setting on all the adjusters to start with?

While every gun is a bit different and should be individually tuned, I have my Impact 30 reg at 150 bar and nearly maxed (nearly zero free play) on the hammer spring with an ES less than 9. This yields around 890 fps/44.75 grain JSBs with the shorter 600 mm barrel. You should be able to get 905-920 with that longer barrel. With the front de-bounce adjuster, just bring it in clockwise until you start losing speed, then back it out a hair. In some cases, you will find this front adjuster actually boosts your max velocity as well.

That's a case full of the good stuff for sure!

Did you custom cut your foam for the accessories (the Ronin, bipod) or did your FX distributor pack it like that?? Every one I see has different cut-outs.

Depends on the wind. In general, for longer ranges you have to find the idea speed that you can shoot them before they drift hard from drag going into transonic. They might shoot perfect at 925-940 on a calm day, but drift badly with wind, so you'd want to dial it down. My R5 Long shoots them well from 890-900 in heavier wind, you'll probably get similar results with the Impact.
