Nice! The ones in my neighborhood take flight and squawk an alarm at the sight of me. There is no way the other two would still be in the tree after I shot the first one. I suspect their next of kin will be a bit more skittish. They are surprisingly smart birds.
Like Mmahoney said, the birds in my neighborhood spook when you start to draw a bead on them-you have to be sneaky to get a shot. It's as if they read your body language. I end up getting one here and one there and freezing them till I have enough for a meal.
This is one of my favorite places to visit. Lots of pigeons and several collared dove. I also love to find a long tail grackle too. Will return later in the month and plan to take some videos.
