Filling new tank

I have a new Yong Heng compressor and new air tank. I see you need to have pressure on the moisture filter for it to be effective. Should I throttle the tank valve until I hit 100 bar or so to keep that pressure on the filters? Will it damage anything on the tank valve?

Sounds like a good idea. It won’t damage anything.

What you need to add is a PMV (pressure maintaining valve). A pressure gauge should be upstream of the PMV so you know what the filter pressure is.
It has a 1/4NPT male on one side and female on the other.
