@markT are you looking for something to cover a foster fill nipple on your gun, fill whip, or SCBA tank? For an exposed nipple on a gun I like the magnetic covers. I use this one

For my fill whips, tank fittings, etc. I use rubber caps like @HatefulMcNasty suggested.

Same here, bought a bag of 20 on amazon for cheap.... 5/16" fit's good., poke a pin hole in the end to let air escape when putting on

I use the vacuum line caps also. They work great for Foster covers and also have other uses. I use them for my trimmer string bore cleaners too. I slide them over the smaller 22cal. stop so it works for bigger bores too. By sliding increasing larger ones over each other I can use one string all the way from 22 to 50cal.
