Father and son shooting

My son had a day off last week and I asked him if he wanted to shoot the airguns. I live on some acreage so I raised the door on the back of my metal building and he shot some spinners I have set up at 50 yards. He shot one spinner and then the other, hitting it every time. Then he said something that made me really happy...”I want to shoot at a longer distance”. I then ranged a prickly pear at 96 yards and pointed it out. After 3 shots he still hadn’t hit it. I then said give me that airgun. BEFORE I SHOT I said I’m going to make you a smiley 😃 face. I shot the 2 eyes, then the mouth all at 96 yards. Not exactly believing it he said let’s walk down there. Turns out that he was shooting at a different prickly pear.

Here’s the pear I shot with my regulated FX 500, 25 cal. 34 gr. My beautiful 500 is above with a groundhog I shot at 88 yards. I’ll post a picture of my son later.😊
