Fall Rabbits in Joshua Tree!

New here...Great site with so much info that I utilized in order to assemble an entry level PCP rifle for pesting and small game hunting on my property in Joshua Tree, CA.

I need to give a shout out to 9Qm3 for his/her input on some of the details regarding final assembly of my rifle, as it is very similar to theirs...thank you!

Today, I was able to take two cottontails with my Hatsan Flash .22, UTG 3-12x44 Scope, UTG Bipod and using Predator Polymer pellets...

The first, pictured with the rifle was at 49 yds, and the second was at 27 yds...shot placement for both was nearly identical...atop the shoulder and through the spine.

The wife and I were just up there camping and hiking...What a beautiful area to camp and hike. I saw lots of rabbits and Eurasian dove out there.

Excellent shooting! If you have any questions about the Flash, just ask! There's a couple people on this board (myself included) that have messed with their Flash guns quite a bit!

Nice! I was stationed in Twenty-nine Palms several years ago, I loved the fall weather out there. Never got to do any hunting out there tho.

Good hunting. There is a lot of game in the deserts of So Cal. FWIW, you can also hunt quail with airguns in CA. Season just opened and it is a lot of fun.

This is beautiful country with a lot of game...We've had a place here for twenty years, but only recently retired and moved here full time and I'm really enjoying the free time I have to get into some air gunning...and the dove hunting is usually always great too.

I use to love hunting rabbits. We just don’t have them in abundance anymore and they are super hard to find.
