EDgun Matador .22 LR

I am just wondering if EDgun Matador, bolt action, multi shot (not semi auto) would be interested for US market? Imagine, the same looking Matador, with the same exentrical suppressor, magaine, bolt etc, but in .22 LR? 

What do you think if it is interesting?

Bolt action and semi auto .22LR's are a dime a dozen over here, its just the ammo that is prohibitively expensive and hard to find. Add to that a suppressed .22LR requires a license, a yearly $200 fee and quite a few federal hoops to jump thru, not to mention firearms are illegal to fire inside city limits unless at a range. All are big reasons most of us are into airguns. I would not take on that venture, were I in your position.

+1 Adam. The market would be very very small. No way to compete with Ruger 10/22, M&P 15-22 or a really good bolt rifle. Of course, I've been wrong before.

Just as someone said above, the suppressor would be an issue due to all the federal hoops to jump through. But I think it would be a great idea and I would even purchase one. Bullpup guns are very popular here and i think the Matador would do very well.

Please clarify whether you are talking about converting the Matador in to a powder burner? Or if you are talking about making the Matador shoot .22LR slug bullets using PCP?

There are a huge number of Ruger 10/22 in the US; however, there would likely be, say 5-10% of the Ruger 10/22 customers who would buy a gun with a style that sets it apart from the rest.

Forget the "suppressor," that will kill market size. However maybe a fake suppressor for looks.

a fake suppressor is just asking for trouble, especially at customs or worse some LEO with a chip on his shoulder the day he rides by and sees it. And you can get a bullpup stock for a 10/22 for as little as $114(amazon), so you would have to find someone in that theoretical 7% that would be interested and convince them that $1500 import is better than $200 from walmart with a $100 drop in stock. It will be a tough row to hoe
