Dreamline classic cannot change calibers???

I called the dealer in Canada and wanted to order the conversion kick in 22 700mm cal for my dreamline 25. 


they told me that I cannot use it in dreamline 25 ???? However , I can put it in my Impact MKll 30 cal

is it true?

It has to be a Dreamline Caliber/barrel kit.

A Crown or Impact kit will not work and dont think there is a 700mm option for Dreamlines.

So I think what you'll find is that the brass ported end is different between the dreamline and impact. However I'm reasonably certain I've seen people change those out and run Impact length barrels on Crowns. (and the Crown and Dreamline have similar actions) There is no explicit kit which does it, to my knowledge, however I believe some hodgepodge of parts can be used to make it work. Or, of course, you could fabricate a handful of parts to make it work. *shrug* I hope that helps mate.

Excuse me, I think in my haste I may have misread your original post. Your .25 caliber dreamline can be converted to .22 caliber, most certainly, I just don't believe there is a 700mm barrel for it. Here is a link:

FX offers a 500mm and 600mm length barrel for the Dreamline in .22. I got the 600mm .22 barrel kit for my .25 Dreamline Classic and it works very well. The Dreamline and Crown magazines are interchangeable, but I don't think the barrel are and the probes definitely aren't interchangeable.

Crown barrel is the same as Dreamline, only limiting factor is shroud

Crown is using bigger diameter shroud, it can be mounted on Dream-Tac with a skinny aluminum tank, but can't be mounted on Classic because of the shroud size, not because of the brass port, even Impact has the same brass port

@ninjababy sit sounds like you could put your 700mm impact barrel into your Dreamline but shroud would not work and you would have to get a different caliber bolt probe for the rifle, if it was a different caliber.
I don’t think a 700mm length would work well in that setup though
