Digital Scopes Vs Optical Scopes

Just a heads up guys on digital Scopes. There have been some advancements in this area that are pretty cool.
I wanted to give a pro / con on both sides of Digital Scopes Vs Optical Scopes.

Not too familiar with digital scopes.
Do these digital scopes still have erector tubes in them? or are they electronically adjusting the POA?

Reason I asked is that one of the problems with conventional scopes (erector tubes/turret) holding zero is that you are dependent on springs and mechanical means to hold zero. I know some of the more expensive scopes are almost bullet proof...but sooner or later...

Not to say electronics are better and won't fail. I think a properly designed electronic aiming system has the potential to be more robust than most erector tubes/turret design.
