I’ve been doing a lot of plinking with my Titan since I put the little Hawke Airmax 2*7*32 on it. Today was no different but I noticed that the groups were a bit off. After inspecting the rifle I discovered that the lock up wasn’t firm. It’s been several years since I replaced the spring behind the detent. Laurie from Custom Airseals had graciously made me a couple of springs that all I needed to do was cut to size a few years back.
So off with the stock ( hmm remind myself the snug up the stock screws more frequently) and barrel. It took three goes and a damaged pinkie before I was happy with the firmness of lockup.
Tomorrow I rezero and check my groups as now it’s beer o clock.
