Congrats on your find. They are rare, indeed, and represent Crosman's attempt to enter the serious 10M market. Unfortunately, neither the 84 nor the Skanaker pistol (1988) were ever successful against the European competition. Crosman changed ownership and direction during this time period and never really supported the products on the international stage. They didn't have star power shooters to showcase them. The timing was bad as they came on the market as new offerings at just about the time that CO2 was about to be displaced by the first pcps.
The 84 is a unique design and incorporates new ideas with sights, triggers, barrels and other parts purchased from one of the best German makers. I doubt that you have the electronic trigger as it was optional and the standard Anschutz trigger is about perfect. If you have a 20lb tank, filling the CO2 cylinders is pretty easy. The only problem I have had is with the digital pressure readout. The board supporting it often fails and has to be repaired or replaced. In fact, it is a complicated solution to a problem that didn't really exist as CO2 is pretty much self-regulating at room temperature. Perhaps it was intended to replace counting shots, but since shooters used match packs it wasn't really necessary.
Enjoy your fine rifle. It is a great shooter and quite collectable. You might even want to find a Skanaker to go with it. The Skanaker goes for around 450-500 USD and the rifle, if working properly for well over 1000.
