Copper pellets...

I've been shooting some small caliber copper pellets just to see how they shoot but mostly to reduce the lead build up around the yard. I don't see too much difference in results but the cost is a little bit more.

Wish lead was magnetic so I could just use my magnetic wand to pick em up!

The copper pellets are likely plated lead as copper would cost a bunch more and not shoot well from our guns. Once lead gets a thin layer of oxidation it remains in a very stable condition and does not deteriorate much at all. That is why they are still digging up bullets and balls from the civil war.

If you don't want the lead in your yard make a sand trap or something similar under your targets to catch it. Then you can just sift it out with a screen.

Or use a rubber mulch or Duct seal trap. Lots of ways to do it.

One to two inches of this stuff will stop any pellet made
