Cold wheather filling

How about this for an answer....It depends.
So lets assume you are filling from a compressor that has a high end moisture filter. Now this air going into your gun will probably be on the order of 3 to 4% humidity. So the basic answer is no...not really any moisture on the inside of your air cylinder...(it would really have to be very cold to hit the dew point). Now as far as the outside of your gun....That is another story, assuming your keep your house around 75 degrees and the the dew point is down around 40 degrees....guess what? Your 35 degree gun is going to form moisture on the outside.

If you don't have a moisture filter on your compressor and remember this is not the same as the particulate filter (depending on your compressor and filter arrangement) you probably should wait till the gun warms up to room temp. Still a good idea to invest in a moisture filtration system if you don't have one. Hope this helps.

Moisture condenses at a higher temperatures under high pressure. That's why air conditioners have compressors so the gas will condense back to a liquid state at high ambient air temperatures. At 200+ bar pressures any moisture being introduced is going to condense. The goal is simply to keep the amount of moisture introduced to an absolute minimum.
