Bobcat - puff of air

I have searched but havent found this subject, so thought i would ask. I have just bought a .22 Bobcat. My first bullpup style pcp mainly for pest work. I have noticed that on low and med power I can feel a puff of air on my cheek with each shot, but nothing on high power. I plan to take the wheel out and check the o rings. Crony shows consistent speeds on all powers. High power 29 fpe, med 17, and low 9.5 fpe. I must admit I'm surprised how low, low is. 

So would appreciate to know if anyone else has experienced this, and thoughts in if the power levels are normal.

before going into the gun i would change the breach O ring and test again. might be as simple as that.

and that's the odd thing about it. No puff on high. Where does the reg vent on the Bobcat, would it cause this?

I am not familiar with these guns but, could be the breech oring as stated above, if the oring is shot, when gets to mid or low power it won't seal propperly, as the pressure is lower and it will not expend enough the oring to seal it, it could be just dry and hardned oring that lost its elasticity, they're not expensive, it's worth it to try and change.

I wondered that, so i am getting new seals for both the breech and the power adjuster wheel as it feels like it's coming from there. Got a couple of rabbits last night, and they didnt seem too worried about it.

I’d bet it’s the breech o-ring too. It makes sense that a deteriorating o-ring would be forced to seal on high. The more aggressive blast would force the o-ring to shape and seal even with small flaws. The lesser blasts allow the flaws to leak.

If the action of the bobcat is the same as the royale, the o` ring D20 on the valvepin might be damage and on low power the air is trap between the valvepin and the power adjuster in the tranfert port. It is only a theory.

If I put my fingers over the wheel, it blocks the puff, so actually looking like those seals. Will have time soon to look at that.

I took the wheel out yesterday. Seals look ok, but will replace anyway. Interestingly I gave everything a wipe and applied a touch of lube to the seals, put it back in and problem fixed, no puff of air. 

so possibly a touch of grit has worked it's way in there, or just being dry.
